Ofp & teamspeak

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Im trying to run teamspeak via my onboard sound(card) and OFP via my soundblaster card.

I would like to hear the voicecomms over my headphones and the gamesounds over the speakers

For some reason I cant tell ofp to use only my sb card and ts to use only my onboard audio.

Does ane one have an idea on how to do this, if it is possible at all.

my mb is a ASUS P4C800 Deluxe and I use a SB live 5.1

I've managed to do it with my onboard sound (sorry dont know model) and creative extigy.

However I think its only possible because the extigy is external allowing me to have both sound cards installed at same time. In TS I have the option to have input and output on different sound cards, because I have a low memory machine with the eax extigy card I would make a harsh crackling when trying to talk on TS when my system was using lots of memory, so i have microphone using onboard sound and headphones using extigy biggrin_o.gif

it is possible as i do it, and it makes everything so much easier.

OFP uses my SB Creative Audigy 2 as it's my default, so in TS i got into settings/options/sound devices and select directsound, for my input (recording) i use the SB audiigy as it's better quality and for the output i use my onboard sound card. This works well.

Now you need to make sure your headphones are configured to the right holes if you don't hear anything. Don't give up too soon, it's fantastic for using helicopters as you just turn OFP sound down and TS is still clear.
