Ladder making

Recommended Posts

I'm making a house and I've completed the ladder with the end and start points and it works just fine except for the fact that the guy climbs at a 90 degree angle to the ladder. That is, right side to the wall. Have followed the brsseb(?) tutorial and it says:

Quote[/b] ]If it climbs the wrong way (say you really want it 90* to the left instead) , you can easily just select the two start and end points and rotate them.

But it doesn't work. I just feel so incredibly stupid asking this, but could somebody explain this to me? Tried rotating them, but it doesn't change anything.

Well, I found a solution.

All I had to do was to make the start point further away from the wall than the end point. Funny that they didn't mention that in the tutorial.

Well, on to problem #2. How to get the ladder to work with an island. The ladder won't work if I insert the house using an island editor. What the hell am I doing wrong now?

Right Click in the Property Name window and click New then:

In the geometry lod you must set the following properties (Bold bits)

Name: Class

Value: House

if you want to show the building on a map in the OFP mission editor enter these properties:

Name: Map

Value: House

And to set the damage type enter these properties:

Name: Dammage

Value: Building

To make doors work or other custom animations this needs to be entered in the cfgvehicles section of your addon:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">animated=1;

Thanks!

Just curious, what are the other class values (for trees and such)?
