Tatu performance

I'm making an urban battle in Tatu (A huge bloodbath). It would be nice to know how your comp performs in Tatu with some squads fighting. I'll be using lots of spawning and body-deletion scripts, so hopefully the amount of units in the city at any one time will be quite low.

Tatu? you mean the biggest town on BAS's Tonal island?

With around 4-5 groups moving about i thought it ran okay with my graphics set at an average level, around 20-30 fps. but when i added about 16 groups moving throughout the town fighting i got around 5-10 fps and lower....

(I also had HiSky enabled so that could of been adding to the lag..)

specs:

AMD Athlon 2500+ with a soltek Nforce2 motherboard

512 meg DDR ram

geforce 2 64mb video card

4-5 groups is probably the maximum number of units that will be present at any point in the mission smile_o.gif .

Edit - By Tatu, I meant the huge city on Tonal biggrin_o.gif .

It performs a bit slowish but i got used to run OPF with high resolution and 2x antialiasing and high sky and... maybe you should put lotsa fog too and reduced visibilitie tounge_o.gif .
