Createvertexbuffer

Recommended Posts

Recently I tried playing at high terraindetail and 5000 viewdistance.. it lasted about 2 minutes. It gave me a CTD and this message <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">CreateVertexBuffer (static, separate) failed 8876017c - out of memory?. Now I'm getting this message(and a nice little CTD of course)everytime I try to start up Flashpoint. I've tried the obvious stuff like removing my addon folder, reducing resolution blah blah blah... The only solution I know works, is reinstalling the game.. but there must be a better solution to this problem.

Logfile?

Hidden treasures?

Bucket of magic?

Use -nomap, problem solved.

I had the same error but -nomap saved me (thanks BIS for answering my support email!! ;] - I suggest you add it into the troubleshooting FAQ forum, about nomap.)

Deleting Flashpoint.cfg gets rid of the error message but I still CTD before I can even reach the menu.

I tried -nomap before and absolutely nothing changes.

Same old error message, same old CTD.

You should your userinfo.cfg file in ofp/users/yournick folder and edit these two entries:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">viewDistance=3507.612549;

terrainGrid=12.500000;

That just happened to me. Goit a spanking new system and a friend was like "OMFG LET'S CRANK IT ALL UP" and before I could yell "NOoOooOOo", ofp died. A lot.

And ctds whenever I start it up.

It's actually hung right now on my spanking system, and I'm waiting for it to ctd so I can try these settings...

Thanks so much, in advance, btw. smile_o.gif
