Guest Posted December 23, 2003 jup animations whit bis soldier models are wery difficult to make because of their hands, model have in pilot view difrent hands like in first lod.I moved some animations a little and in 3d view looks ok , but in 1st person looks terible. So i decided that i will only fix some of BIS animations.Im workig on slow moving animation , u will not be stand moving but a little lover.I allso plan to work on lean left and lean right animation which would be acivated true action menu. ShadowY 0 Posted December 23, 2003 Very nice work. I like the idea of the second crouching anim. Nice to have a crouching scouting/resting anim like that. Could be useful for soliders in a patrol on a recon mission for example. When the soldiers makes a halt they could crouch like that so it looks like they are scanning the area around them for possible treats and/or resting. Would be nice to have some anims of handsignals to go with that too (stop/continue/careful etc).. edit: scanning != scouting There are already handsignals anims in OFP edit. Here is one(the stopsign ...I did this in a few minuts using it with Hunters anims to make it work via radio Someone with scriptingtalent can do this via the original commands is what I think, so the AI listen aswell
Lenin 0 Posted December 23, 2003 Yes, I saw this animations during making missions, but I didn't seen them in any mission

Wilco 944 Posted December 23, 2003 COMBAT ANIMATION'S PROMO @Recon: Â Some animations replace the default version, and some you have to type in: this switchmove "nameofanim"
Wilco 944 Posted December 23, 2003 Here's how the plan shall go.... 24th: Â Releasing the Combat statics pack picture up there. 25th: Â Switching crap over from this comp to a new comp. The week of the 29th: Â May release the non-combat statics pack, depends on wether or not I'm motivated. P.S.: I mostly made these after getting tired of viewing the same stances in the OFP Combat Photography Thread They are soley meant for Combat Photography, well that's why I made them. quicksand 0 Posted December 23, 2003 looks really swet..if your taking requests,I know it would be really hard but could you make some new death animations. Second is it possible to bind animations through keys, like peeking around the corner And it`s you choice of course but could all the individual animators team up,this way we could get them faster and you would work less...
Wilco 944 Posted December 23, 2003 I wouldn't mind teaming up, and I don't know about binding, it may be possible, not sure, and a new animated death has been in the works, but still needs to be finished and improved. If anyone knows how to write animation configs, please get a hold of me, if you can write a config today, I may release it today

DanAK47 1 Posted December 23, 2003 I just wish you would fix that kneeling animation. The way you have it offers no stability. The only benefit of it would be to make yourself a smaller target, and what's the point when you can go prone?
Wilco 944 Posted December 23, 2003 Well, I just wanted something to be different but I will change it, dont worry
Lenin 0 Posted December 23, 2003 Wilco, can you tell what kind of program you use to make these anims? I'd tryied to make my own with OFPAnims, but when I choosed any animation files I had a lot of errors
Wilco 944 Posted December 23, 2003 I made them with OFPANIM, are you sure your installing them into a certain folder? As in res/ofpanim ?
Lenin 0 Posted December 24, 2003 I'd just reinstaled this program... everything works fine... Oh, I would forget - it's to complicated for me...
Scorpio 0 Posted December 24, 2003 Lenin - If you are using OFPAnim, make sure you view the "How to start.txt" file, and basicly just load the P3D "mc tankistae2.p3d" and then load the anim *.rtm file which you want. Demo anims and p3ds can be found in the DemoData folder in the program's folder.
