DKM Jaguar 0 Posted December 8, 2003 Hi. Sorry if I have posted an already exisiting thread, but I looked quite hard and didn't see it, so I appologise in advance if I am wrong. Anyway; my problem is that I wanted to test my computer to see how well it can handle OFP on maximum settings. I have a 512mb RAM, 128mb video card, 2.4ghz processor computer. It was like looking at a very slow slide show. The main problem is that ever since, my ofp has frozen on the Codemasters screen and will not proceed. I have tried altering the settings via ofp preferences in the Disk menu, but it still does nothing. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and then tried again, but still nothing. I have tried with 1.94 beta (which was the variant i was using at the time) and still nothing. It would seem this problem is unsolveable, unless I can alter ofp's settings without getting into the game itself. Any help would be gratefully received. dm 9 Posted December 8, 2003 Delete your "Flashpoint.cfg" file (move it so you have a back up) Then use the Flashpoint Preferences (found in the codemasters folder in the start menu, or an exe in your ofp folder) And use the "Autodetect" feature. This will give you a new set of settings, suitable for your pc
suma 8 Posted December 8, 2003 Delete your Flashpoint.cfg, and delete Users\your_name\UserInfo.cfg as well. Note: if you do this, default settings will be used for almost everything, including control settings. If this is not what you want, you may open those files in text editor and edit it manually.
