quakergamer 0 Posted November 20, 2003 I still have my doubts...Is this really scripted by you Quaker? or is it "borrowed" from TJ? Its scripted by me, if you just want a  proof i can send you the sqs file...
dm 9 Posted November 20, 2003 I'm sorry if my post upset some people, but things similar to this have happened in the past, and I would like to know if this script IS infact made by Quaker or not... CanadianTerror 0 Posted November 20, 2003 It was fine until the stolen script comment I believe. [moderator mode]That could have been done in a PM[/moderator mode]
dm 9 Posted November 20, 2003 Yeah, well we're all human, and we all make mistakes, they've made some mistakes in the past, and I made a mistake by basing my judgment on those mistakes... I've apologised to Quaker both in this thread and via PM, so lets just get on with the OPGWC comments shall we
Major Fubar 0 Posted November 21, 2003 I'm still recovering from that 200 MB demo. But seriously, I'm at a loss as to how the guys who are making the bigger projects(such as this one)plan to fix anything after people find all the missed bugs that usually come up after a release!? There should be a mini demo pack of iraqi soldiers or something to gve an idea of what's to come. People get bored of screenshots, screenshots and more screenshots. IMO. I couldn't agree with you more. Mod teams who have such huge project that woon't be released for months or more should really consider releasing the odd addon or two as a teaser, to keep the community interested. Guest Posted November 21, 2003 And has been pointed out, only two pages back, it would actually be very hard to break things up, and pointless because you wouldn't get the full effect. Asked and answered Just as a side note, there are a few BAS scripts that inside the scripts say (roughly) "We don't mind if you use this, just give us credit where its due". And we have taken note of this. At a certain point however some things may look similar (models/effects) because they are trying to do the same thing. If you have two people trying to paint a picture of the same vase of flowers, it isn't suprising if their paintings look similar....know what I mean? Especially when it's a static screenshot. Nuff said...

Obviously the mod isn't complete, or we'd have it in our mittens now, but...................about The screenshots, of completed units. They must all be individual pbo's, no?, so that Beta testing is more efficient, yes? Therefore, how hard would it be to zip the pbo. Send it away to somewhere to download, and then get some comments from us? Surely that couldn't waste your time. It might even fast track development of key areas of any campaign. This below might be a little smartass, but I couldn't resist, as this is what I wish Leone should have said! You are right most of the units arent in the same PBO, but they do require other addons to work (For example we could use the wheel textures of xx unit on another unit) and it wouldn't have the scripts. Anyway, I think we have most of the units finished or NEARLY finished, so it wont take much longer for the final version. Actually not the FINAL since it will probably ahve patches later but for the v1.0! *EDIT*To NZXShadows, I could psot some screenshots when I get back home. Guest Posted November 22, 2003 Yep as Quaker points out, some things are in their own pbo's, but most are in "Super" pbos that contain many addons. Some pbo's require other pbo's to work etc etc. Just to view an island you would need around 100mb worth of addons, because of pbo dependancies. But in the long run it does make the mod size smaller. And no offense Ozanzac, but we don't listen all that much to comments from the OFP community, considering how negative they generally are. Praise is nice, constructive critiscism is welcome, but the majority of people that comment (especially at ofp.cz, not as much here) are rude, ignorant and immature. You can't really blame us for not wanting to release betas...'cause it's obvious what the comments would be like, and I can't see how that helps us. PS....Go the Wallabies

chris330 0 Posted November 22, 2003 Quote[/b] ]The model of the sa80, l86 is made by myself, textures are a CS-import. Does it still have the completly wrong red scope? jpg'>http://www.opflashpoint.org/news/images/robbo/gw/2.jpg the best SA80 so far was the one made by Chris330 i think he was called (chris summit anyway) might be worth wile taking a look at that, as his susat is really good and accurate Thanks kev, it's nice to know I'm not forgotten  Haven't posted for ages. Yep I think it's still the best thing on the block no-one else has really come close to it. I spent loads of time on it over the Christmas period (18+hrs a day) whilst off work. I also see people struggling to model the green barrel casing. I re-modelled this 12-15 times before being happy. Why doesn't anyone just ask to use mine? I said loads of times I don't give a rat's ass if someone uses it. With or without my permission   As far as I am concerned it belongs to the internet community now and is no longer anything to do with me, but I still see guys struggling with it. Anyway it's about to be knocked off number one spot. Check out the Nightstalker mod headed up by Pathfinder or Pathy. He uses both names. Believe me that is going to be THE SA80. The modelling is out of this damn world. When he release that the OFP community won't know what's hit them
