mrmax 0 Posted December 9, 2001 I really like OFP, there is a lot to like about this game. But there is really so much that is wrong with this game too. Multiplayer Score Keeping SUCKS, SUCKS, SUCKS! DID YOU UNDERSTAND THAT! Our OFP squad has been entering squad tourney's. We get into disputes over the correct score. Not every player in the game has the same score! Often players will score a flag and the screen message will show on only a couple of screens but not everyone. Players will get messages for kills they made, but when they view the score, there is a big fat zero for kills they made. We have had matches 5 v 5 and every player has a different score. Yes most the time lag is part of the problem. But don't you think when this game was designed, and BI knew it was going Multiplayer, and BI knew all pings were going to vary, and BI knew that lag would be a hugh factor. Don't you think they could have come up with a score keeping system that worked under these conditions? #### NO! They couldn't think that far ahead. Instead we have an almost meaningless scoring system. Suggestion: Long term. Fix the d*amn thing so all have same score! Short Term. On player's machine, kills that player makes, plus flags, are dumped to text file. The text file would have session #, time/date stamp. Somehow this needs to be a read only file that can't easily be altered. Hey BI, there is so much in this game to like, and I do like it. BUT fix the scoring please!
