Evishion 0 Posted November 3, 2003 Hey. I have been searched for some topics with this question, but dident find anything. so I just make 1 here  The prob is: if I try to start up the game with 1.91 I get a error message named:   ( dont have a host to host my pic so I write what is says ) Cannot create 3D device: Adapter 0 (RADEON 9800 PRO) Fullscreen Reselution 2048X1536, format X8R8G8B8/D24S8, refresh 75 Hz. Error D3DERR_OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY Do anyone know how to solve that problem ? I have tryed different ways like: -Autodetect -Change reselution -Change some other stuff in the  preference The weird thing is that if I try to start the game with 1.94 it works and if I try to delete ALL my addons it works with 1.91 to. but if I delete MANY but not all it wont work  anyone know how to solve ? ( I have the latest ATI drivers (catalyst 3.8 ) ) Thanks

Hjaldar 0 Posted November 3, 2003 A friend of mine has the same problem: OFP 1.94 + Radeon 9800 + Win XP + Addons-Folder above ~900 MB = Crash! He now plays OFP in Win98SE again, no probs...

What a pity. Why doesn't he goes back to XP and use mod folders with less content?
mr burns 132 Posted November 3, 2003 consider strict usage of mod folders and the -nomap shortcut switch (which leads us back to 1.94 ). -nomap does also work on 1.92, i´ve tested it  (edit: may only work if 1.94 is installed) maybe the 1.91 servers are compatible to the 1.92´s ?? Why doesn't he goes back to XP and use mod folders with less content? Maybe because he needs that much? I use 1gb of inoffical addons too, just what i need to play on my server plus the client-side mods (satchels dr, kegetys hisky, fatwombats island textures)... The real shame in the statement above is that xp does not seem to be able to handle this while 98se can...
