starstreams 0 Posted November 3, 2003 I can’t remember the last time I had an online game. I use to play online all the time but now it’s impossible getting into any games. Anyway, I’m getting this error when going into a game through gamespy that says “Editore 1.02 add on requires 1.75 of application.†I've got the 1.02 add on as well as the 1.75 patch installed for OFP ver1 I've also got the 1.91 Res. I just reinstalled all 3 OFP Cd's today and updated, I don’t get it? By the way, if anyone would like to try my ability’s out, I’m looking to join up with a clan with some serious players. And I do like to use head sets during the game so I can talk with my team. For me it’s all about being real, and so far I don’t see too many dedicated players anymore. I would be nice to have a few dedicated people I can add to my ICQ list. Anyone out there looking for new members? ICQ#123105492
benu 1 Posted November 3, 2003 Try to start ofp without any inofficial addons. Maybe one of those is broken. Then check the version number in the main screen. Maybe you start the old cwc version (not sure if goty has that version at all).
theavonlady 2 Posted November 3, 2003 There are a number of versions of the EU and they should never be all present in OFP's folders at the same time. Gunslinger's EU should only be used for OFP 1.46 and below. It therefore can only be placed in folder OFP\AddOns. Someone else produced another Resistance EU version but Kegetys' Editor Addon for OFP 1.75 and above should be the only EU file you have installed, if playing OFP 1.75 and above. In this case, make sure taht you don't have Gunslinger's EU in folder OFP\AddOns at the same time.
theavonlady 2 Posted November 3, 2003 One last thing: make sure you have the latest version of Kegetys' Editor Addon, available directly from Kegetys' OFP page. I've seen older versions for download at various sites and in download files.
starstreams 0 Posted November 4, 2003 Hi Avon Lady Here is the thing, I already do have the latest versons of Gunsingers add on. Also, It is in my OFP/add on folder, Not my Res/add folder. So your saying that when I play online I should completely remove the 1.02.pbo file from my add on’s folder? I mean wouldn’t there be people out there using this add on when they made their multiplayer map? I only have one file in my add-ons folder and the file is called: “editorupdate102.pbo†
theavonlady 2 Posted November 4, 2003 You should only have Kegetys' Editor addon file, not the older version by Gunslinger. The file date should be 2002/7/28 12:01AM.
benu 1 Posted November 4, 2003 There are several different editorupdates with the same name: editorupdate102.pbo. Therefore you should get the newest one (most often called editorupdate111 as a zip, but editorupdate102.pbo when unzipped) from Kegetys site.
killswitch 19 Posted November 4, 2003 One thing... you´re not starting the old 1.46 OFP executable, "OperationFlashpoint.exe" from GameSpy, now, are you? The correct one is FlashpointResistance.exe (version 1.75 and up) (Or FlashpointBeta.exe for the 1.94 beta, Flashpoint192beta.exe for, yep, you guessed it - 1.92)
starstreams 0 Posted November 5, 2003 Yes the editorupdate111 file is the one I have. To The AvonLady: are you saying that this latest editor update file includes all the add ons from the old gunslinger files? so with by just having the latest editor update file I'll get everything? If so, I don’t get why the old files would be on the web site then, unless its for older versions of OFP that can’t use the new file. By the way, last night I got that error again but I was still able to play the game. Crazy. @Killswitch I don’t have the beta but I know what you’re saying about gamespy having the correct path to the exe file. Basically I just let gamespy start the game for me and it should have the correct path because I did do a full scan for all games on my drive using the file menu of gamespy. By the way, Thanks to all of you for taking the time to make recommendations.:)

Yep. The new one has he same things as the old one. The difference is that you use the Kegetys version with Resistance. Check to see that GameSpyWare has the correct path and uses the right executable.
