A problem with a mounted mg

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I took the pk machine gun from the demo, modified it and some other stuff. But now, I got a problem. I went to test it and the AI, will have the gun pointed about 30 degrees, that is at an angle. And it keeps it there, even when it turns and points in the direction of the enemy, the AI shoots the gun from the angled position and its like they are still level, pointing at the enemy, with it aimed at them.

Anyhow, how do I fix this so that the AI will act normal again???

Which way is your gun aiming in O2? Make sure you're viewing the left side of your gun(from the gunner's point of view) in the Front pane. In the top pane you should see the gun from the top, with the end of the barrel on the left.

now, what I mean for the AI, artifical intel, you know, our computer friends, they angle the gun always about 20 degrees up and keep it there, in-game. Then they see an enemy, and no matter where the enemy is that they're shooting at, they don't need to move the gun up and down to shoot the target, just need to point it at them. I'm just wondering why the hell they'd do that

Yep. I can move up and down perfectly fine. Here is a picture of the AI position that they stay at crazy_o.gif

I had a similiar problem with my Carl Gustaf addon, and that was because i had slowed down some kind of velocity-thingie for the gun in the config (thought it was the grenade's flight-speed, it wasnt), and the ai kept pointing it up in the sky biggrin_o.gif

Edit: Think it was "initspeed" that caused it...

hmmmm.............well, they keep it at this same angle, all the time, no matter what, and will hit the target no matter if its laying in front of them or below in a valley. I need to fix this problem!! crazy_o.gif
