In game, The BRDM is a car, right?

The point is, me old mate, that Armoured wheeled vehicles are not supposed to exist, but there it is with the proper front wheel animations...

The reason that the wheeled APCs have problems with missiles, vehicle commanders, and other stuff, is that until now they could only be classified as cars.

This opens up:

HUMMV with TOW

LAV with TOW

BRDM with Spandrel

BRDM with SA9

Now smile, and repeat after me:

Thank you BIS!

YAHH!! wheeled vehicle in the Armoured class is very signifigant because armored vechials usually can't move their tires. I'm suprised no one ever thought about this before.

Moving to A&M:D

I still don't think that you can mount missiles on wheeled vehicles. Even Sigma-6's LAVs are basically jeeps with machineguns that look like armored cars with bigger machineguns.

That's pretty much all the BRDM is, it's classified as a car but just put under the Armored tab. It still can't fire missiles or anything more than a car can do.

Yes, but Sigma_6's, and all other wheeled vehicles were made based in the car class.

This must have happened in a recent patch. I never even noticed until I actually looked for the BRDM and couldn't find it. Eventually, I did find it, in a class where it didn't belong before.

It's always been under armoured for me. As far as I know, it's just been put in the armoured section because it's an armoured car.

Yeah, that's the way I understood it. By all means, though, if you can make a BRDM with AT-5 missiles on it, go ahead! Addon making is not my specialty and I may very well be wrong.

If I'm wrong (Gawd, that's embarrasing) fair enough, but I never actually noticed it before. I would have sworn it was previously in cars.

u'r wrong

proof...

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">vehicleClass="Armoured";

and

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">class BRDM : car {}

are COMPLETELY different things and u can put a human in the Armoured tab, he'll still be a human, not a tank.

It can't be done so we're forced to wait till OFP2

Nope. It's always been armoured. You can choose which class in the editor things appear pretty much at your whim, you could even put a jeep in 'armoured' if you wanted.

My LAVs are 'car' classed vehicles. JeepMG.
