Cannot create 3d device...something..bla..bla..err

I have a Hercules Kyro II 64MB grafic card and 758MB RAM memory. When run OFP Resistance (with all versión, 1.94 incluided) this game "crash" and display the next message "Cannot create 3D device...something..bla..bla..Error E_OUTOFMEMORY". This happen when I have a lot of addons but I cannot reduce more my addon because therefore I canot play. I have try all, I have created mod folder, I have try with all versión drivers card (last incluided), I have direct x 9, I have intalled the game and the card thousand time, I have changed the texture configuration, resolution, all. If you have another solucctión, please, tell me. I am very tired and hopeless, and I think that the only solution is to buy another graphic card. Thank you. My email is: hilario22@hotmail.com.

Try using the -nomap switch on the shortcut.  Change this(right click the shortcut and go to properties, go to the target box)

If you use the -nomap command, you shouldn't need to remove any addons. I think that will solve your problem.

I have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM and I also use the hercules Kyro 2 *snif snif* smells like a real problem

system specs;

AMD 1800+

1536MB DDR RAM

PowerVR Kyro 64MB

Addons used;

BIS RES

BAS Tonal files

(no OPFOR pack)

OFP;

V1.94b

When I had 640 MB RAM I could use like 110 mb of addons next to the BIS files. Now that I have 1536MB I can use 114mb. That doesn't make sence. Is there any way that I can get rid of this problem other than buying a new video card?? It doesn't help reducing resolution or any setting at all. The ONLY thing that helps is reducing the number of addons and thus the space they use to under 114 mb of extra space.

-nomap fixed it for me. Now I can play the BAS tonal island, OPFOR pack, MORPEH/USMC addon, BAS MH60 pack and JAM in one mission without a problem. I don't know why this little trick helps so much, but you won't hear me complaining
