Config tutorials

Recommended Posts

Can anyone point me in the direction of a decent Config making tutorial the only one I could find was Brssebs basic one and Swordfishes auto config maker but neither have really worked out.

Also shouldn't I find a config.cpp inside when I unpbo other files?

The other way is just de pbo all and any addons you have. Peak inside the config.cpp file and see whats there.

Clearly I'm doing something wrong here, I've made a config file based on the original Kmarns international infantry file, but when I load up my pbo in flashpoint I get a Dali-esque monstrosity, is this something I've done wrong in oxygen or is it in the config?

I did't think I had to worry about LODs in O2 because all I'd done was add a few pockets and pouches to the Kmarns model, do I have to draw up a whole new set of LODS because I'm renaming the model?

Or is it because the config file still contains references to Kmarns textures?

The Addon loads but despite being untextured it comes up as a multi-limbed monstrosity textured in the normal OFP colours, theres no error report.

Then the problem is probably in the textures or model, not the config.cpp.

Ya if you renamed the model, you will need to change the texture paths to match it, and yes within ALL the lods

I do it by holding control key and double click a texture in the texture window list(mines on left),this will select all parts using that texture. Then bring up the texture properties (menu Faces/Face Properties)and make sure the paths match your new folder and/or texture name

Do this for any lod that has textures

Sometimes a chore
