Woulden\'t it be cool if BIS included farm animals?

Recommended Posts

You could have lil farmer guys running round w/ pitch forks bayonetting the paratroops just like in england in ww2.

Is it "hay bails" or did you just spell it incorrect?

Anyway, if you have tried Kegetys Winter Kolgujev add-on, you have seen the piles of snow that you can add in the editor. The enemy seems not to be able to see through them as well. So hay bails cannot possibly be that much of a problem then. Would be a nice addition.

I think it more important to use the performance of a server to handle more Players, than some sheeps running around the battlefield.

Thats why I suggested the hay bail Silencer, killing cows would be tasteless, even if they are only virtual, and before anyone suggests killing virtual people is acceptable, it is after all part of the games purpose, killing cows and other animals, is not.

Ohh, Hidden your right it is two seperate words, but it was a typing error (I missed the space out, but it is still better than missing out whole words which I occasionally do when typing at hight speed), and not incorrect spelling.

Anyhow I got the idea from Band of Brother. In "The Breaking Point" (Episode 7), when Easy Company attack the German held town of Foy, a group of them take cover behind a wagon full of hay, I figured hay bails would be just as good for OFP, especially in those open spaces where the scattered bushes are almost useless as cover.

You could make a great mission if there were farm animals.

You play a Speznas soldier who is stuck behind the ememies lines and has to avoide mad farmers with shotguns and hunting rifles but get food by shooting chicken and cows

Guess what.. I will probably *cough* buy Deerhunter 5.. *cough heerrkhh cough*

Phew what a relief *GRIN*

Loved the DH 4, and screenshots from DH 5 look great. Imagine those deers (or bears, even!) in OFP. Not only can you get killed by the enemy, but a black bear tearing your body apart as you scream and beg for your buds to kill you to stop the suffering.

A bit too far perhaps? Well, don´t talk about too messy.. go to the local movie theather and watch one of the new action movies.. even when they get boring, you see gory details all the way.

Titus, not everyone plays online. If I ever get free interenet calls with ntl or cable broadband I'll play online but till then I'll stick with single player. Animals, such as flocks of birds, could be something you add in the edititor - so they could just be left out of internet games.

it wasn't illegal in france during ww2....

its the only way soldiers could keep sane

<span id='postcolor'>

I thought that was what french whores were for.......

Anyway we got the occasional bird here and there right? Why not add an option with that would allow the user to enable dynamic life? Such as deer in the forest or cows in a barn?

I would like to see dogs that you can use (for patrol, to find soldiers in ambush)
