Black Knight 0 Posted July 12, 2003 Hey, I downloaded the Detonator 40 geforce drivers and now i get this error message every time i try to start ofp:r : Cannot create 3D device: Adapter 0(NVIDEA DeForce4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X) Fullscreen Resolution 1024x768, format X8R8G8B8/D24S8, refresh 0 Hz Error D3D ERR_INVALIDCALL I did a search and tried most of the things and none of them worked I also did the "Test Direct 3D" test using the DirectX Diagnostic tool and this is what i got for all 3 tests: -Direct3D 7 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x80004005 (Generic failure) -Direct3D 8 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code) -Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8876086c (error code) My specs. Win 98 SE 1.4ghz 512 ddr Geforce 4 128mb with 8x AGP Any ideas on what I can do? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Black Knight 0 Posted July 12, 2003 hmmm the thing is, when I try to reinstall my driver I get a stack overflow error. Is there a way I can uninstall my VGA driver?
