Strange graphics bug

Recommended Posts

Images speak better than words :

I can fix it by going to video options and changing resolution, then changing back again and it goes back to normal, but it's really weird...???  sad_o.gif

Could anyone give an explanation of any kind?

Thanks

I think its cause your resolutions too high, Placebo remember that pic you hosted for me with the weird start screen? The colors where all messed up, and changing it the res. back to 800x600 worked btw whats your video card.

Hmm no but then I am very old biggrin_o.gif

Good advice though, as Koolkid101 said knowing your gfx card and other specs may help smile_o.gif

I had the exact same problem as you, I changed it like you did and it worked, but it always came back, so I left it 800X600. What video card do you have. I fixed it by keeping it on 800X600 because the old res was way to much for my poor Ati Radeon 128 16mb..... The best thing to do is get another vid. card!

I have a GeForce2 MX 400 64mb, AMD XP1600, 512mb SDRAM,SB Live! 5.1,17 inch NEC (flat panel) monitor, DX 8.1 and original drivers for all my hardware (Drivers are pretty big and I'm a 56ker  sad_o.gif  )

Thing is I can play Mafia, which is a pretty demanding game on the system fine with max details at 1024 by 860 resolution  rock.gif

Thanks for the link Koolkid, will look at it when I have time  smile_o.gif

EDIT : Oops just in case its of any significance I have an ECS K7S5A motherboard...And damn this stupid laptop keyboard! crazy_o.gif (Heh no this isn't the system I play OFP on wink_o.gif )

Drivers may be pretty big but you can't expect things to work right and you can't expect people to be able to help you if you don't have the latest drivers for everything, at 20mb per hour downloading with 56k it doesn't take that long to get them smile_o.gif

Well if you really want to play Opf then you'll find a way, download them at college/uni and then burn them onto a cd, even the crappy college I was at last year had the odd cd-writer smile_o.gif
