Can't seem to load textures

I'm doing Brsseb's tutorial 1, and whenever I hit B to apply the texture I get the message "No Texture Loaded". Also after loading the texture, it still says "Front Texture: (Null)" rather than the name of the texture file. Can't seem to figure out why. I've got the goty disk so bulldozer doesn't seem to work, could this be the problem? Any ideas?

This is how I texture:

Select the faces you want to texture

Press "A" to go into texture mode

Right Click and "Load Texture"

Right click and select "Correct Aspect"

Press "B"

If you get errors or still the "null" its probably the texture specs (prolly size)

I had a similar problem, and I discovered that it was my video card causing the problems. My mobo required additional drivers to fully support AGP, and until I got them, I couldn't texture in Oxygen.

I'm having the same problem.  I'm pretty sure my video card has all the drivers though.  Just to check, how would I find out if this was the problem?

*edit* fixed it - was either because DLL folder wasn't set up properly or because the path to the textures was too long.
