nopulse 0 Posted May 4, 2003 Lately I've been having really bad FPS while playing OFP. It seems when ever there is a map with a huge armor squad or a large number of troops, my frame rate dies. I have a 128mb Geforce4 TI graphics card, 1gig of DDR mem, 7200rpm hd and 1.5ghz P4. Not the greatest machine, but it should be decent enough to play OFP properly. Any options under OFP that I should tweak to improve frame rate? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
marcusm 0 Posted May 5, 2003 Hi, I have a similar problem, but only w/ Resistance. Please look at this topic and write, if this could be your problem, too. Greetings
toadlife 3 Posted May 6, 2003 It probably your processor holding you back. Beleive it or not, on average the 1.5ghz P4 is gives out slighly less performance than a 1.2Ghz PIII, and that's with a P4 system that uses Rambus memory. Ask the marketing dept at Intel about that one. On a P4 system that uses DDR memory (much slower than rambus memory), the performance would be even less. theavonlady 2 Posted May 6, 2003 I don't think it's your processor. You should be playing OK with that plus all the other hi-end components you're using. Time to start posting detailed system specs, driver versions and OFP preferences and options settings. Do we have some sort of new OFP bug being reported lately?
