mackenson 0 Posted September 28, 2001 The editor is tough to use for me because of display glitches .... I often can't see the textures used on the controls (the editor is usually just a big mustard colored blob when I start it up) .... black or colored trianges often obscure the map .... sometimes clickable controls, such as the sliders used to change the weather, don't appear at all ... sometimes the overlay windows appear as transparent .... etc. I have a Radeon 32MB DDR. I also have the problem with the flickering shadows in game, but otherwise everything looks as it should while I am actually playing. Occassionally, the in-game map will reverse out to black though... I have tried the various cures suggested for the shadow issues, but nothing has worked for those. Any advise? Rob 1 Posted September 28, 2001 most games require updates for the video cards before u play them. i had to update my voodoo3 before i could play properly. other than updating ur video card have u played around with operation preferences? u find this icon in ur folder. play around with that and find out wot happens.
