Have spent the weekend playing with the finnish mod. It is absolutely flawless & great. Hope we soon receive a campaign, its a shame to have so many great new units & no pre-built missions to play with them all. Its funny that Finnish squads are called Sissi. A name which has other connotation in English ( sissy ) Thanks once again.

I have a new machine, Radeon 9700, P4 2.4, 1 GB of RAM & good mobo ( but only 4 * AGP ) I can run higher terrain details but is still not smooth. I run " 1200+ view distance & get 10-15 fps. IMO you get the best effects running on medium terrain details & put the extra computing power into a long view distance.

Thanks a lot. & I am waiting until Radeon9700 comes out & then treating myself to a whole new box.

When playing online I seem to get better graphic performance than offline & view distance seems further. Â My question is - is there a standard setting for online play ? Â The screenshots I have seen show many more landscape bumps on high settings. Â In theory there must be a standard online, or player on high settings would be hiding behind a landscape bump that did not exist to player on low settings. Â Same applies to vehicles bouncing on high settings - do people on low settings see these vehicles bounce ? & if there is a standard setting - what is it ? Â I would like to set my offline play to that same setting. Athlon850 128MB Radeon32MB

I had no problem running german resistance over english ofp so you will be OK.

Am stuck here. I plan & execute a good ambush - with luck can even take out both the tank & bmp with RPGs. But by the time I've done this the infantry is out & on top of me. Help. How did you finish this ? Gimme a mine or a satchel & I can finsh the job.

Helicopters can land on top of buildings & "Get Out" option works normally. proof on the Nogova tower blocks here Haven't yet tried the LST, but is good indicator for those building assault ships & carriers.

MP - why do you rate it so bad. One thing did forget to mention is no custom voiceovers & for the money there really should be.

I'd rate it as OK. Â But I think its blasphemy to talk about it in this forum. Got bored one Sunday morning & bought it. Main campaign has an interesting storyline. Â Missions I've played so far are well put together & many are different from the norm. Have found missions to be a lot better than vast majority of the community missions that you can download. Â Nevertheless are still outclassed by a select few community missions & most 1985 campaign missions. On the negative side. Â Some of the briefings are badly translated from German & not clear. Â Some of the map annotations are in German & again causes confusion. Some elements of mission are fun but not realistic. Â At one point you have to sneak into a castle tower that is being bombarded by 5 Hinds. Â Quantity of Hinds is definitely excessive. Summary. Â Well thought out missions ? Â Yes. Â Worth the money ? Â That depends on how much of an OFP fan you really are & how bored of the existing campaign you are. With RedHammer pending might be advised to wait until you played that one to death before splashing out on this one. Joystick with throttle does make flying consderably more pleasurable.

Don't know if its new to 1.30 or just a quirk that affects some computers. I have never been able to get an MP games going without an internet connection. No reported errors, game just doesn't start.
