Orders

It would be nice if you can control the AI that are in different squads if your an officer with a radio or soemthing. like if you and officer and there is other AI around from other groups you could go to the map view, call the other squad/s then tell them to go somewhere on teh map to attack, move into position, cover you, etc; and also you should be able to call Airstrikes, artillery, and such with out making a script. Make it implemented into the editor so if you want the abliliy to ahve air cover put in the editor a button or somethign that you can have aircover with other opitons like what kind of plane, how skilled they are, what kind of munitions they have, how they will attack (dive bomb, strafe, smoke, etc). Also i would like the battles to be longer than just a couple spirts of the gun then be over. It wold be ncie to have long battles that would last minutes than seconds. Finally it would be sweet to have more selection of weapons. Oh yeah if this was the US army then they should go by the moto of "no one is left behind" you should be able to pick up or drag a fallen comrade to safetly. and this could be used in tthe campaign so that person can come back and continue in the fight, or you would get metals or promotion or points to get more or better weapons or opsions later on the campaign.

Definately.  Even the ability to holster a weapon and carry him on your shoulders would be kick ass.

Even more than "kick ass", it is realistic. Maybe make this a feature on "Veteran" level difficulty.

no ... it would be nice to have that available at any difficulty level

but on the other hand , it should affect your ability to shoot and to run

for exemple , while running , you'd run at the normal running speed in ofp instead of the sprint speed

If you're dragging someone with one arm, and shooting with the other. You wouldn't be accurate unless you're firing one shot at a time. Obvoisuly can't control recoil of a rifle with one hand. And aiming would be quite wavy.

Obviously carring him on your shoulders would have the same effect. Unless you sling your rifle and are using both hands to carry.

also if you draging the guy you can use one arm to drag and one to shot but the shooting wil lbe more inaccurate.

Deley in orders, when there is a troop talking on the radio or summit like that it wont let you give them AI squad members (under your control) orders thus i have lost a lot of good troops because of that...

Howabout you can still fire with a pistol while you are dragging, or better yet the man you are dragging can return fire as he is being dragged.

The control system in OFP is too long winded, and this leads to much ass-kicking during firefights. I would prefer a context menu accessible via right mouse button (which I usually have mapped to "reveal target" - it's no big loss)

for example:

Move

--- Move North

Move South

Move East

Move West

You also need a "reload" command for units. It's mind numbing telling them to pick up each individual rocket and M16 mag!
