suchey 0 Posted April 5, 2003 IM having an odd problem...the glasses on my soldier model do not show the transparancies on the glasses but ONLY after I binarize it...let me explain a bit better: Before I binarize the model, it works perfectly...the glasses appear perfectly...no problems. After I binarize it, the glasses will still appear (if they are chosen to be used by the players custom face), however, the entire portion of the model shows. In other words, you can see the textrues for the glasses, but the transparancy around the ear pieces, etc do not work and the entire blocky section of model which defines where the glasses should be is visible. Why would this work before binarizing, but not after, and how can I remedy this issue? Thank you in advance for your time and help!
suchey 0 Posted April 5, 2003 here is the a picture of what I mean...before binarizing it looks normal.
vektorboson 8 Posted April 6, 2003 Well, I would suggest that you extract your whole data.pbo into your data-folder in your oxygen-directory. At the AEF-Campaign we had the same problems with using BIS alpha-transparent textures. After we've put them into a directory that was in the path of the binarize-utility, the transparency-problems disappeared.
suchey 0 Posted April 6, 2003 Worked like a charm! Thanks a TON bigpoppa...sometimes its the simplest things that get in the way...I never thought to check the data folder to see if that particular texture was available! Thanks a bunch!
