Switching sides

Recommended Posts

Is there any way I can make my custom Kiwi Soldiers (default Bas Soldiers with NZ flag on sholder.... Yes, I know very unrealistic!wink.gif be on the East side to fight west side ( or other way round)? I find it more interesting fighting Delta's and M-1's etc...

Can this be done? Me kinda newbie... confused.gif

Not sure but can't you just edit the MISSION.SQM file and change the SIDE value for the soldier's definitions?

Yes, do a search in the editing forum.

Baisicly you edit the side="WEST" line in the mission.sqm.

Sweet! thanks. Do I have to start OFP again after each edit to the SQM or can edit it 'onthe fly' with OFP still running in the background?

I assume you're testing the mission in the Mission Editor.

In which case, what I always do is load another mission (even a dummy one on the desert island) and then load back the mission whose MISSION.SQM I edited and saved.

Works all the time. Also loads changed made and saved to all other mission files.
