mrmamosiresir 0 Posted October 21, 2023 hey guys got this error message after launching the game. i just reinstalled it after taking a break, got some mods, played with them, unloaded them and tried launching it again and I got this? "Error creting Direct3D 11 graphical engine" then I close the error window, and get the "arma 3 has exited in an unusual manner" popup with exit code 0x0000DEAD all of my drivers are up to date, not sure what else could be the issue...any thoughts? thanks! Gunter Severloh 3950 Posted October 21, 2023 Welcome to BI forums! What are your computer specs? Some info for you on that error: Quote 0xDEAD is the special error code that Arma uses to kill itself after a fatal error occurred. Fatal errors are a Error Message box that gets thrown into your face, where you have to click the "OK" button, once you click OK Arma will kill itself with 0xDEAD as it cannot recover from the error. What you can try is going to the profiles folder here ----> C:\Users\your username\Documents\Arma 3 make a copy of everything in that folder, and then delete it all and then start the game and see if it plays ok. If that dont work then try reinstalling DX in the arma files: Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\Arma 3\_CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010 When you get to this file go to DXSETUP and run that.
