Problems updating flashpoint in winxp

I just got winxp SP1 and did a brand new install all my programs installed & updated OK until OpF.  

Installed OpF + Gold(1.3) + Resis(1.75)

Now i try to run patch 1.46 it gives file errors for some mission files in the \missions and \MPmissions folder.

These are the same CD's as used to work in my Win98, but i have got a new Sony DVD/CD.

I guess i try the copy CD to HD method as described in threads below?

I am afraid you can apply patch 1.46 only before installing Resistance.
