[SP] Dark Tidings | Arma 3 Aegis

The year is 2035... and tensions are high in Livonia

Enlist as an LDF Squad Leader and investigate a hub of Separatist Activity

Context:

It is September 2035, the world is on edge following the events of the ‘East Wind’ flash-point in the Mediterranean and the rumors of clashes between NATO and CSAT forces in the Horizon Islands. Tensions between the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and the Canton Protocol Strategic Alliance Treaty (CSAT) have never been higher.

While diplomats from the United Nations desperately attempt to descalate the situation, Russia, the most powerful remaining non-aligned state in the world, is looking to solidify it’s sphere of influence in Eastern Europe by expanding it’s Kaliningrad territory into the independent nation of Livonia. Russia has been shocked into action after Belarus, a long time ally of the Russian Federation, joined CSAT in early-2035 following the 2035 Moscow Summit. This turn of events shocked both Eastern and Western observers, and has led to increased political instability in a Russian state that is becoming increasingly un-sure of it’s position in the new world order. Action must be taken.

The Russian government has long un-officially supported a small group of ethnic Russians in Livonia who have sought for Livonia to join the Russian Federation since the collapse of the USSR. The LDF has fought a pro-tracted counterinsurgency campaign against this group with measured success, particularly in the last year as the insurgency has heated up in the Nadbor region of the nation. The insurgency has intensified in recent weeks... and many quietly speculate that the intensified operations on the Kaliningrad Separatists part could be a series of shaping operations for something far more sinister.

*If this mission is received positively, I intend on turning the concept into a campaign.*

Features:

20-25 Minutes of Infantry Gameplay
LDF Perspective
A Detailed Briefing + Set Piece Building

Thank you to Arma 3 Aegis Team for developing and releasing Arma 3 Aegis - and thank you to the developers of Western Sahara for creating a fantastic CDLC.
Thanks to xXfl33rXx for his support in testing the mission and providing feedback.

Just did a quick run-through and it's great! Definitely feels like the opening act of an interesting campaign. Looking forward to more!

You might want to link the Western Sahara compatibility patch for those who do not own the Western Sahara DLC:

It's too bad the CDLCs can't be platformed like Contact, so the assets are available without having to load the DLC.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. I appreciate the feedback.

I'll do that now, I thought that Aegis might have required the actual CDLC in its entirety, good to see that's not the case.

Thanks!
