L00s3r 0 Posted February 28, 2003 I have this problem, I'm trying to get a sniper to stay in a bush. Well I have meneged to get him stay still and lie down, but he won't shoot. I tried to put a waypoint, but no. And another prob, when he lies down he turns towards north... And then the last question: What is the command that makes a soldier 'hold fire' and 'open fire'. MrZig 0 Posted February 28, 2003 Is it an assasination mission? Like kill one guy then run away? Put this in his init if it is, oh, and name the sniper "sniper" and the dude he is assasinating "guy" </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">sniper dotarget guy; sniper dofire guy<span id='postcolor'> I think that will work
Junker 0 Posted February 28, 2003 do a Waypoint with fire at will & Stealth he should stay still in a bush near that WP. or type in his init line  </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this stop true; this setbehaviour "STEALTH"<span id='postcolor'>
MrZig 0 Posted February 28, 2003 Ooh, I think I know what he means.. He won't shoot.. Yea, I tested it, and he wouldn't shoot either. It might be because of the bush, try moving him further from teh bush, or move him directly aside from it in the open, and if he won't shoot then, then he is too far away I guess. syco 0 Posted March 1, 2003 Yes, if he is TOO well hidden, then it may be that the sniper can't see his target. He should have a clear view of his target (even ig it means he needs to show a little of himself)..
Shashman 0 Posted March 1, 2003 Just make your sniper, facing the direction you want, and type in his innit field        </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE"> this setbehaviour "combat"<span id='postcolor'> This'll make him go prone, and engage anyone he sees  It works cos I've also made a few missions with snipers...
