JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted February 25, 2003 I have just finished (kinda) the model for my M99. I was going to upload some pics, but stupid ImageStudio wont let me upload any pics. I'll find another place soon and show you it. Also how do I get rid of exploding rounds as I have putthe damage pretty high for this gun as it is only a single shot, not even a magazine! It can take out a BMP pretty wellat up to a mile away with a few shots, but you wont be finding yourself using it against people as you can only carry 10 rounds , but theres always a pistol as a backup. If I cant make the exploding bullets dissappear then I will make the M82A1 instead with a bit less power nyway the model only took me about half an hour to make and skin. Dont recommend Boomspeed to me as I have tried and doesn't work
OxPecker 0 Posted February 26, 2003 From memory any ammo with damage > 49 automatically causes an explosion effect.
JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted February 26, 2003 Thought So, Thanks anyway. I'll maybe convert my model into the M-95 and put the damage at 49. Thats still 4 times higher than the M21 or Dragunov . Maybe I'll make the whole Barrett Pack with the M99, M95 and M82 all inside.
Eviscerator 0 Posted February 26, 2003 explosive=false; in the CfgAmmo section will stop it exploding...
JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted February 26, 2003 Thanks very much . In my opinion the model is much better than that of my WA2000 so if you liked that then you should like this
shadow 6 Posted February 26, 2003 I know the M82 and M95. Never heard of M99. How about a picture of the model?
JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted February 26, 2003 The M99 is a version of the M95, but with no magazine, it only holds 1 round. Also because of ImgGallery I cant upload any pics Sorry

Anything below 49 damage will not exlode on the terrain or people and vehicles. 50 or above though makes the rounds explode on people and vehicles, but not terrain. JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted February 26, 2003 3rd Person m99 1st person m99 Another 3rd person one m99 on floor with wa2000 Theres stil some work to be done like the darker undernieth and LODs, the cpp is about finished. One prob though as it only does 49 dmg, it takes 7-8 shots on a BRDM to kill it, 6 to make the crew abandon it and I dont think you can destroy BMPs with the 10 shots you get. OxPecker 0 Posted February 26, 2003 I really hope you do make an M82A1 as well! There are a couple already made, but the textures on these aren't the best.
OxPecker 0 Posted February 26, 2003 Oh, and could you make the ammo so it blows the target backwards, like a shotgun blast? I think this is something you can define in the ammo too. A .50 round should knock it's target off his feet!
JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted February 26, 2003 When I get the time I probably will. I have just been testing the M99 out and its very impressive. AI use it at very long ranges 1600m +, it destroys cars and trucks in about 2-5 shots and is accurate. Only prob is I dont know how to make new optics views and you can only carry 10 shots (just make sure you have a decent sidearm and that your teammate carries some ammo for you). This is really the weapons only real disadvantage.

Filo Hubba made an early M99 and M82A1, and of course there is the recent AW50's. These may be good sources. If not, please use the ingame hunting rifle scope, instead of the M21 scope. king homer 1 Posted February 27, 2003 Can anyone post some picz? I cant open the site where he uploaded the picz!
munger 25 Posted February 27, 2003 The M82 by Scanger (v1.1) is probably the best available at present as it's the only Oxy created one. From memory I think it has realistic optics so you might want to use the ones from that, with his permission of course. You can get it here: http://opflashpoint.org/addons.php?v=
