LowLevelFunctionary 0 Posted February 21, 2003 dont think so... if someone worked hard enough they could, but I think its illegal if the public mess around with it or something... :\

IceFire 0 Posted February 22, 2003 What an excellent question. But I have another one. Is it possible to play the campaign missions from another placed unit's perspective? Like for example in that mission in CWC where you have to hunt for that first SCUD missile. Could you play a member of the one of the Russian soldiers gaurding the scud site? Or in that mission where you and your squad had to take out two Shilka's and then call in the choppers to take out the tanks, and after all the tanks were dead, you take out the town. Could you play the squad leader? Or the Russian Sniper in the first town? Keep in mind that I do NOT want to PERMENENTLY change any aspect of the game. So please do not advise me to do anything that I may regrette.
Chronicles 0 Posted February 22, 2003 Hello I think you should download the decrypted missions of the CWC campaign I find them here http://clangign.altajeux.com/dload/ofp/mission/campmissunencoded.zip Unfortunately , it seems there are no sounds, just the mission file So you can play with them in the editor, and make a multiplayer map based on the first SCUD mission. Take a look at the readme included in the zip to understand the purpose of certains files (that you have no need)
beno_83au 1369 Posted February 22, 2003 Yes, and I don't think that BIS/CM would mind much I guess, umless you tried to sell it or something, and if you gave them credit and all. To do it all you need is a DePBO'er, if you look through the addons section at ofp.gamezone.cz you'll find two programs to unpack/repack pbo's. I've done it to change a few of the mission around with SEB Nam Pack 2 units to muck around with.

Also, your band of men you and the leader will be alot stupider, and will get killed alot easyer! They missions would have to be remade to be played from that point of veiw! IceFire 0 Posted February 23, 2003 Well I remember trying to create some missions in the mission editor. I made a huge scene with many things going on as the player starts. I found that I could make any unit be the "player" in the mission. Every group had a goal and waypoint. So no matter who I decided to play as, it worked from that persons perspective. Major Fubar 0 Posted February 23, 2003 A true multilpayer campaign would be awesome. At the moment I think the closest you can get is a series of co-op missions 1 after the other, like Band of Comrades.
grey 0 Posted February 23, 2003 i have unpboed the campaigns and ripped a few of the more suitable multiplayer missions from the cwc and red hammer campaigns to play together in coop mode. its very easy to do - unpbo the campaign pbo file - find the mission you want - copy this mission folder to your users/missions folder - open it in the games mission editor - find the players squad, change a few of the other soldiers to "playable" - save and export to multiplayer, finished! im not very good at editing missions at all but this seems to work fine. even if you leave things like retry in it still works, and the scripts still work because one player is stil left as "player" (eg demitry in red hammer) or whatever so all the scripts are triggered by him. i would like to know how to disable some cutscenes tho, cos these are annoying in multiplayer. i havent tried very complexly scripted missions like alamo though. good luck! The Red Hammer campaign is extra cost software from Codemasters. Everyone has OFP's 1985 campaign but this is not true of Red Hammer. Making it available for public download, including maps on the fly in MP, is a legal problem. Just thought you should know.
