Launcher isn't downloading subscribed mods

Recommended Posts

I have two mods that I've subscribed to on the workshop. Any other mod I subscribe to works perfectly fine. It's just these two mods that won't install.

These are the problematic mods, if you wanted to know:

I've verified the integrity of the files twice now, and nothing seems to happen. I don't know why this isn't working, any other mod works just fine.

Technically the launcher doesn't download the mods, Steam does. Do you mean they don't show up in the launcher to be activated, or is Steam not downloading them?

What you linked arent mods, both are compositions, you wont see those on the Arma 3 launcher only in the editor.

What you subbed to are ideally used to put into your own missions.

   How to locate them?

Do this, go to the  Editor ---> Groups (F2) ----> (custom) Compositions ---> Steam subscribed content ---> name of the composition

Oh, for god's sake...

Well, that would explain it. Thanks.

I probably should've paid a bit more attention to the description than I did, huh?

It helps, but not so much as it depends on how the author of the page decides to word their content.

      What you need to look at is the top right of the workshop page for the mod or whatever it is, each page has tags, their right under

the workshop's page's picture for the content, in this case the first tag says the following for the first link:

======================

Data Type:    Composition

DLC:     Contact (Platform)

File Size:    0.020 MB

Posted:    Jan 7 @ 2:10pm

Updated:   Jan 13 @ 9:38am

2 Change Notes ( view )

======================

So these details are the technical data aspects of what the file is, so compositions will always be editor based,

Mods will always be found on Arma 3 launcher.

SP missions subbed too will always be found on the main menu under scenarios, and

MP missions subbed too will always be found under multiplayer ---> MP lan when you host a game for yourself or friends, unless someone puts the mission on their server.

Mods in general can encompass anything so either new content like units, weapons, vehicles, objects, scripts, functions, game fixes, terrains, ect,.

Compositions again will always be found in the editor and are meant for mission builders, or those who like to mess around in the editor,

whatever floats your boat.

 Hope that helps, everyone learns something new in this game, so i understand your misunderstanding as i been there myself 😉
