shadow 6 Posted February 14, 2003 Is there any command to specify how strong an engine is?. A buddy and I are working on a Zodiac which is supposed to have twin 125hp engines. In all common sense that boat should go alot faster than the wimpy 105 km/h we get Tried all kinds of tweaking of the weight-balance btw
Unatomber 0 Posted February 14, 2003 change the maxSpeed
shadow 6 Posted February 14, 2003 The maxspeed is only for max-speed, but it seems like OFP has problems with moving vehicles fast over water. I can set my boat's max-speed to 1000 km/h and it still won't go any faster than 105 km/h
Rastavovich 0 Posted February 14, 2003 Reduce the weight of the model in o2.
maddogx 13 Posted February 14, 2003 Perhaps you could add a script to the addon... like the driver has a 'Turbo' option in the action menu. Then when he presses that, you can use the setVelocity command to make the boat go faster. I could do that for you if you want.
shadow 6 Posted February 14, 2003 I tried setting the weight as low as 50kg Has anyone made a boat go any faster than 105 km/h? Turbo-boost ? LMAO I like the idea, but I'm not sure if blackops operate nitro-boosted zodiacs these days
KaRRiLLioN 0 Posted February 14, 2003 You could use a script with setvelocity that will automatically adjust the speed of the boat as you get closer to the 105 max you're getting now. Basically once you hit the max speed, or get close to it, have a setvelocity script start to gradually increase the velocity with a small or large curve, depending upon how fast you want it to get faster.
