I often suffered heavy casualties whenever i did beach landing operations -40 to 60% casualties, and being that neccessity is the mother of invention, i decided to create something that would be in a navy commander's mind to even up the odds. The helipad is for evacuation of casualties purposes, for example, enemy air assualts on the frontline coast areas would be present to prevent heli support for u. So u can load up casualties and the craft will speed to safe open water areas where fighter support is present, upload to chopper and the chopper will fly further to ships or homebase.
