Melkor 0 Posted January 31, 2003 Does anyone know how to make dedicated servers visible in the Operation Flashpoint: Resistance lobby of GameSpy Arcade? I have seen Karrillion do this before. I am running standalone server version 1.90.

KaRRiLLioN 0 Posted January 31, 2003 Hmm, are you talking about it showing up in Gamespy arcade under dedicated servers? There should be a setting in the server's cfg file where you set the master server ip, but I don't have the cfg here at home so I can't remember what the setting is. Melkor 0 Posted January 31, 2003 No not in the dedicated servers room, that is for 1.46 oh, is it reportingIP=""; ?
Melkor 0 Posted January 31, 2003 According to the standalone DS-Admin file the reporting IP is the IP address of the master server to which this server is reporting its state. I just set mine to "master.gamespy.com". No luck yet...don't see it in list.
Skunk Monkey 0 Posted January 31, 2003 Well it willappear by default if you have the right ports open on your router. If its not there check your router settings or proxy. Ports 2302 and 2303 are needed, not sure about any others - use the search function there was a whole thread about this.

Skunk Monkey 0 Posted February 1, 2003 Firewall open on 2302 AND 2303 You connect to 2302 but Game info is on 2303. Something else using 2302 ?

Melkor 0 Posted February 1, 2003 This is what I want to do
Skunk Monkey 0 Posted February 1, 2003 It does sound like a port problem. What firewall system do you have? If you are using ZoneAlarm (very common personal firewall) then you need to drop the firewall level to medium from high which stops ports being "stealthed" and therefore stops Gay-Spy and ASE seeing your server (althouigh people who know the IP could still connect) OFP-R uses 2302 and 2303 -2302 is for gameplay and 2303 is for server infomation that goes to ingame browser/gay-spy/ASE. Skunk Monkey 0 Posted February 2, 2003 I thought you wanted your server to appear in ASE and gay-spy, right it does, your server.cfg sets the name, what else do you need?
