Guest Posted January 13, 2003 Oki, making a defend the airfield on Everon mission for my campain. I have set up some wire fenses so the enemy tanks have to go trough at spesial points. I have set Hold Waypoints on my tanks but when i put mines on the places the t80 have to pass, my fokking stopid Us tanks drive over the minefield. Doolittle 0 Posted January 14, 2003 It doesn't change when you get to the waypoint if the next waypoint it's going to is set to No Change...so the tank stays in Safe mode, whatever. When the enemy is spotted they go out of Safe mode and also go into Full movement too it seems (and never return to Safe/Limited on a MOVE waypoint to CYCLE waypoint travling...I don't get it....you know, you shoot at them & then take guns off back & look around...then go back to marching...shouldn't they holster their guns again if they return to the waypoint that says "turn into Safe mode"??) )=Obi=( 0 Posted January 14, 2003 I took the habit to specify situation awareness on every waypoints except those definitely in the fighting zone (ennemy base or else...) . I think awareness defined in a wp is assigned to the unit only once when the unit get to the wp the first time. So if ennemy coes up and makes it change (i.e. to combat), awareness will not come 'back' to safe or aware (unless unit reaches another wp ) . Although, this is only how I figure it goes. . Guest Posted January 14, 2003 this got a little complex for me, my english isent all that good. But if i set up a Game logic and set the waypoints for my AI tanks to Guard and put the waypoint on top of the Game logic, will my tanks keep close to the GameLogic and try to protect it instead of driving towards the enemy units? I want the tanks not to drive too far south coz then they drive trough the minefield. And one thing i have wondered abouth for long, The replacement radius. If i set a seekAnd Destroy waypoint with 100 in replacemnt radius, will they keep inside that radius no mather what or??? Thanx folx:) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ottie 0 Posted January 14, 2003 What you can do is place triggers around the airfield on places that must be guarded and set the type of the trigger to guard by east/west, then the tanks with a guard waypoint will especially protect these areas and will not drive of to attack the enemy tanks (and ride in the minefield) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
