Ares1978 0 Posted January 12, 2003 Is it possible to adjust the aircraft take-off distance and acceleration? If so, how?
Guest BratZ Posted January 12, 2003 Adjust it? Well you can't set it to what you want.I hear that brakedistance setting determines performance but I think thats for AI. I think its mostly in the "Mass" and how you setup your geometry. And the landcontact's need to be in a good spot (below the tires slightly)
-~1ncognito~- 0 Posted January 12, 2003 You have to adjust the max speed of the plane. The higher it is, the longer it takes to take off. This also affects acceleration.
Ares1978 0 Posted January 13, 2003 The thing is I would like to make a short(er) take-off aircraft with high acceleration and a top speed at around 800.
Guest BratZ Posted January 15, 2003 Ya see,my planes are WW2 ,I don't want to change the top speed In essence the lighter the craft, the shorter the takeoff speed and the better acceleration Isn't 800kph beyond what OFP will do?
Wonder 0 Posted January 16, 2003 As I understand it, the lighter the plane, the shorter the takeoff, and the faster roll rate. I've been having a hard time controlling Kegetys' hawk with joysticks, because it rolls 3 times in one second! It gets out of hand easily. Also it needs a full runway to take off. On the other hand, Hudson's F/A-18C handles just beautifully, and needs no more than 100 meters of runway.
Grokk 0 Posted January 18, 2003 I think you need landingspeed = For it changes the speed at wich you can lift off too. Grokk
