A conversion from Half-Life:Counter-Strike (yech)

Nearly finished. Just a few glitches to fix.

I should have looked before I leaped, with originally >1200 faces it was a pain in the ... to reduce it to a decent poly count.

I agree, but I'm flat out of time. Anyone who wants to do some scratching and denting, go ahead. I think I'll release an un-binarized package including 3DS files. That should help...

What's the fuss about the reticle? It's just a dot. tounge.gif

The sound is really sweet. I had to crank it together by hand, as there is no real SG552 sample anywhere on the net or in games. The flash hider resonates like a tuning fork after every shot. I took a fork from the dinner table, recorded the sound of the fork hitting the table, and mixed that in with the shot. (afer tuning the frequency up a little)

That sounds like a very cool way to create a sound, also you can get a good, metallic sound by throwing a rock against a matal surface. What program do you use for sound editing?

Also, If you don't want to make the weapons low-poly by editing the original model, I suggest making your own model and using textures from the CS community. smile.gif
