LightBringer 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Hi, is it possible to make the helo blades to kill the player? I mean, ther is a script, which kills you if you step into a territory on the map. Can't you all addon makers use this? That would be really nice, and funny sometimes, if the tailrotors will kill you, if steppin' too close... CU!
waffendennis 0 Posted January 3, 2003 mmm i dont know if this is posible but if this is posible it will be more realistic look at this: in the real if you are too close to the rotors you will be suced in and the detail is not great ( belive me i saw it ) but i dont think the Game Engine wound support this but ye wy dont wey try it? you could try before stop or not? hovmand 0 Posted January 3, 2003 SUCKED IN!! How can a person underneath a chopper get sucked in? I thought it would just puss you down on the ground. Now if you accidently tripped and you should be so unlucky to fall down from above......
LightBringer 0 Posted January 3, 2003 I think he is talking about the tail rotor. By the way, when a chopper is on the ground, sometimes the pilots set the collector a little like when they go down /the main rotors push the air up/, then hats can easily fly in... cam0flage 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Stupid AI would probably get killed very often if the tail rotors would cause damage I remember when we got to ride a Mi-8 Hip when I was in the army, we were told like 2000 times that never never never go behind the helicopter. Damn, I can still taste the sand in my mouth
m16a2m203 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Always taught to approach the helo from the sides in a crunched over position since the blades could suddenly dip if the pilot didn't have a firm grasp of the controls and a stong gust of wind picked up making you a foot or so shorter if you were walking upright. TopCover 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Reminds me of some stupid clips i saw on the net of different celebreties exiting a chopper, seeing their awaiting audience and waved to them.......Yes, it cost them some fingers. L8r, TopCover

I heard a story of a bussiness exec that was in such a hurry and stressed that when he was running to catch his private plane he accadently "ran" into the propellors of another plane. It was foggy, raining, or something. Dead instantly. Ouch. Nobody "pushed" him either. LOL.
edc 0 Posted January 4, 2003 I think a F-104's wing decafitated (chopped they're head off) somebody. I would think that a script could probably be made to simulate it.
-NAA-Pandoz 0 Posted January 7, 2003 im not an expert on helos and the behavior of airflow on the blades or anything but i know for a fact that you could get sucked into the engines of say a military fighting helo. well that is if for some reason it is open on both sides unlike the cobra:)....but yes it would be possible to do this i think...just not quite sure how to do it exactly
TopCover 0 Posted January 7, 2003 ehrm, uhm, take a second to think about it guys.... getting sucked into the rotors when underneath them would mean that they would be doing the exact opposite of what they are supposed for; creating downforce. Ofcourse that doesnt mean that you can be careless around rotating blades L8R, TopCover
LightBringer 0 Posted January 7, 2003 Oh man... All you newer flew with a helo? ? ? ? ? Most of the modern helos can make downforce with their MAIN rotors. Which mean the air is soaked from the ground and pushed up! This is used, when there is an extreme situation of gusting wind or any other situation where IT IS NEEDED to use!! Any other time the pilots don't need to use this opportunity. They need to adjust the collector to 'idle'. The the MAIN rotor is soaking very few air, and gives a really weak downforce. But what I mainly want is to make tha TAIL ROTOR lethal. Becaus lots of stupid MP users goes there. Eh, flew with some real helos, then talk... CU! TopCover 0 Posted January 8, 2003 But that still aint DOWNforce! and i'll dare to say i have more logged flight hours than u have. L8R, TopCover
-Ash- 0 Posted January 8, 2003 Talking of getting sucked into an engine... Take a look at this footage from the Gulf War.. Looks like an Intruder.. The Guy ACTUALLY survived.. http://www.staff.livjm.ac.uk/bltsbarr/funny/suckplane.mpeg
