They're at it again!

Not a particularly helpful comment one must say confused.gif

Sometimes it seems as though Pakistan and India prefer to see nuclear weapons as the solution to a conflict rather than a deterrant. At least in the Cold War, a nuclear exchange was fairly unlikely due to both powers realising it was simply not worth the destruction.

Maybe India should put some money in their scruffy railroad system (killing hundreds of people every year) and Pakistan should invest in economy rather than building nuclear weapons and playing "you have stolen my toy" like in the kindergarten. mad.gif

For those of you who don't know this yet, Pakistan is Afghanistan^2 when it comes to injustice and terrorism. Do you realize how many terrorists have come out of Pakistan to attack Indian's in Kashmir in the last few months. They are not militants, unless you call Bin Laden a militant.

Once again, the US is funding an international crime.

Even if they don't, what if America's help frees up other resources that make it easier for Pakistan to do so? confused.gif

I think the US-Pakistan relationship is a troubling one, sort of the lesser of all evils when it was made to route out the Taliban.

If you give money to a nation, and the nation harbors terrists, 2+2, you don't need to track the money! You can post that Dubya pic for sure again... lol EDIT: what Avon said there

The US is making it a haven for Pakistani terrorists. Remember, now all of a sudden Pakistan can do no wrong.

Either that's old news or it isn't really that serious, just more rhetorical threatening.

If it were serious right now, I think we would be hearing about it here at the embassy.

Last time I was here visiting my mom, it was last summer when everyone REALLY thought there was going to be a war. Back then it was just some news back home in the US, but we were getting briefed daily.

Everyone in the embassy was evacuated to and granted safe haven status (just as a precaution) in another country.

I was evacuated to France. My mom stayed as she was high level personel, and my sis went to Poland. And that was just because the Ambassador and his staff were a little nervous and cautious then.

I havn't heard anything now about this so this is probably just nothing really.

It's today's news and the tone of the threat has escalated.

More important:

1. Did you get a new PC after your last one got soaked?

2. Did you buy Resistance or GOTY in India?

3. Did you manage to upgrade to 1.91?

My PC? Nah. At first I thought my comp was a goner, but it turned out fine after I let it dry for a day.

The water came up like 2 inches off the floor, (seeing that kinda freaked me out though) The water ruined some other electronics though. The fax machine.

As for OPFGOTY: When I found out my comp worked fine, I went out to like the only electronics store in the city. Turned out they didn't have it at the time. So I got Medal of Honor instead to help me kill time until I leave this place to go back home.

My mom's tour here is almost over and we are heading back home to Washington on the 6th of Jan, next week. So ofcourse she had all our stuff (and my comp) shipped back home last wednesday.

Well, last nite, the comp shop called my house telling me that they just got in OPFGOTY last nite.

What luck. I just sent my comp back home last week too. So I wouln't even be able to play it til I got back home to Maryland.

So I figure I might as well wait til I get back home to buy OPFGOTY. At least that way I don't risk having the game, or the manual being in some other language or something freaky like that.

You'll most probably wind up buying Resistance. Search The FAQ for "goty delayed".

Holy!

Hmm, I'm gonna run out and get it now! Before it gets sold out or before I leave!

Thanks for the heads up! I don't feel like waiting that much longer.
