Guest Posted December 25, 2002 I'am currently working on a coop chopper mission, but suddenly my game has become a little bit laggay, it's still playable but when there is some action on the screen (convoy 6 veichles) it laggs a half a sec abouth evere 2-3 seconds. It's so Anoying!!! My Computer is: Amd 1.4ghz TnT2 64mb Ram 512 Mb DDR ram 1. What should my Bencmark be? (I have 2500) 2. Does having many installed addons have any effect on performance, even when you dont use them in the mission? 3. How much Items can you put in a mission with my specs before it slows down? I have tryed deleting everything exept the most important in my mission, but it still laggs? Any ideas? Please help. Merry Xmas everyone.
Mister Frag 0 Posted December 25, 2002 Brief pauses can be caused by a joystick that was previously connected and is now disconnected, the disk indexing service in Windows 2000/XP, and other programs running in the background -- even Task Manager, if open, will cause a brief periodic slowdown. Naturally, scan for viruses, but also scan for Spyware using Ad-Aware or a similar program.

muzzmuzz 1 Posted December 26, 2002 Well could be a couple of things really! The TNT2 is a bit dated now even the 64mb version, if you've got loads happening on the screen then the TNT2 might not be able to keep up and your frame rates will slow... you've got a powerful CPU and loads of RAM so they are not a factor. Personnally I wouldn't play any PC games made in the last year with anything less than 1ghz CPU, 256mb RAM and a TNT2/Geforce 2 MX or ATI Rad 6500 - OR BELOW... Try closing any firewalls or virus scanners you have as these use upto 20mb of your RAM each! All I can say is system tweaking might help! If not reduce detail and sound levels
TheBrain 0 Posted December 26, 2002 It would also be good if you defrag your hard disc.
