Hi all, just wondered if some of you clever so n so's..could help me out a little ?....

All i wanna do is create a NEW or replace the view you have when u look thru a scope.....

Just wondered if there are any tutorials out there..and if not could ANYONE that knows help me out...

I have a British SA-80 rifle and the current scope is from the XMS (red dot) to simulate the SUSAT sight on the real sa-80 now all i wanna do is replace that with a O (a normal red dot scope -minus the red dot) with a Pyramid shape at the bottom of the scope like on the old SA-80A1.

if it's possible to do this can someone help. I have Paint shop pro, Adobe photoshop, Oxygen light etc...

Do i just draw it in PSPro ( i know theres something about the black = transparent, white = solid).

But do i draw the actual O, as in when u press the scope keu in-game you see a HUGE O blacked out with ur crosshairs, now do i draw this O or just the A that i want (in white of course)...

any help would be greatly appreciated

Have u solved this problem? I am also making an SA80. I could really use a new scope for it, but have no idea how to do it. Every time I try and open the .p3d files in oxygen of other scopes if refuses to work! confused.gif

I think it would be easiest just to modify the original dragunov sight. I did this for my Elcan.

Mail me if you want a copy of my Elcan P3D+textures. It should help you.

I encounter a problem if i want to import black otics, somehow the paa format f*cks them up and the black part is covered in white dots, look very ugly. Anyone know what the problem is?

Indeed. My new SA80 scope looks accurate but has a kind of very slight almost white washed look to it. You would have to be very picky to notice it but it is still a serious pain. If anyone can find a way to sort it out I'll change it in a later re-release. wink.gif

I was kinda reworking DKM's ELCAN sight a bit (think that's the one by Matthijs). I wanted to add a muzzle flash to it.. and it's behind the sight like it is on other optics. In O2 and Viewer it looks good but.... ingame the muzzleflash apears in front of the sight. I had this with another iron sight once and I have no clue what to do about it. Anyone know the asnwer? Thx in advance smile.gif
