starstreams 0 Posted December 18, 2002 I just tried loading the mission wizard to give myself a start on a CTF map. For some reason I only have one template, (corporative) Why are the CTF and other templates not showing up? I’ve check the templates folder and it is filled with a ton of them. Has there been some kind of change in the 1.90 update that I’m not aware of? I've never had a problem with the wizard before. by the way I'm trying to make a multiplayer CTF map
ralphwiggum 6 Posted December 18, 2002 if files are causing problem, copy it from CD.
starstreams 0 Posted December 18, 2002 Hello RalphWiggum That doesn’t make sense; I’ve never had a problem with these instillation disks before. I’ve checked the Template folder and all the folders are there just as on the OFP cold war disk #1. Also the template folders in the games program folder are also the same size when I checked the properties of the folders. You know I love this game but some times it can be a real pain in the a$$. Anyway this is not right, it always worked before and I just finished reinstalling all 3 disks and patching the game. I have a feeling this new 1.90 update had something to do with it. (I'm just screwing around) EDIT: I have never used the Wizard or the Edit option from the mission menu, but you might be selecting some map that only has one template for it? ralphwiggum 6 Posted December 18, 2002 i just checked and got same result. don't know if this happened in previous version or not. my suggestions is that you try learning it from great tutorials provided by OFPEC. www.ofpec.com i learned alot from there too. or how about copying them from template folder to folder where you save all the mission from your editor? This is just Unf_cking believable. This blows my frigging mind. I'm spending half my night trying to figure this out. I have "NEVER" had this happen to me and I’ve owned this game for over a year now.

Anyway I’m going to have to try something. If you are having the same problem as you stated then this clearly indicates that the 1.90 update is a "Piece of $hit" To answer your question about whether or not you remember this being an issue in the old version, I would say “no†as it was never an issue for me. Man doses this piss me off. What the heck is BIS doing with their updates anyway? Don’t they test their patches before releasing them?
bn880 5 Posted December 18, 2002 I see approximately 10 templates per map under 1.9.? So hmm...

My (order of install) was as follows: 1. OFP Cold War Crises 2. RedHammer 1.30 by default 3. Then ran “Patch 1.46†4. Resistance 5. Last ran “Patch 1.90†(and ran other three smaller 1.90 patches)
starstreams 0 Posted December 18, 2002 I’ve figured it out, O my lord You have to first select the Multiplayer Button on the main screen and then click where it says Mission at the top of the next screen in small text. I on the other had was clicking the missions Wizard button right away.
