Having problems with my tank...

Recommended Posts

I have a problem with my tank, rockets and LAWs pass through it. I think it´s the "Fire Geometry" LOD, are there any special definitions for it ? My LOD has less than 100 faces and all the components selected.

What am I doing wrong ? Could it be something from the .cpp ?

Make sure your components have names. If they dont, go to Structure>Topology>Find Components and it will name them all. That should fix your problem. Do this both for fire geometry and geometry LODs.

I had already done all those things before posting...

Isn´t there a definition for the "fire contact" in the .cpp ?

I would be grateful if you can provide me a good tank config.cpp because I think mine´s a little crappy...

No, hit detection is all in the model, to my knowledge. Have you tried adding a hitpoint LOD?

My tank has a "Hitpoints" LOD. Is there any specifications for this LODs ? Any restrictions(has to be less tan 100faces, ect.) ?

Your help is appreciated...

Maybe you have forgotten to convex your fire geo confused.gif .

That seemed to work, I did Structure>>>Convexity>Component Convex Hull to the Fire geometry and Geometry LODs and it worked fine.

Do I have to do this convexity stuff for another LOD ?

I have another problem though, the engine exhaust doesn´t come from where I put the points "vyfuk konec" and "vyfuk start". Do I have to rotate the points or something ?

Anyone ? I´m still having the exhaust problem...

Also I can rotate the turret 360° when I´m in the optics view, but when I switch to 3rd Person view I can´t rotate the turret more than 160° backwards. Any suggestions ?
