vitoal125 0 Posted December 2, 2001 Okay, what I want to do is have the leader of a group say something with sidechat. however, if the original leader is killed, and somebody else takes command, then I want them to say it. I already have them in a group with the grp= group this on the leaders init field. How do I select the leader of the group (regardless of who it is at the time) to do the sidechat? also, could somebody tell me what folder the description.ext needs to go in as well as the ogg and lip files or maybe point me in the direction of a tutorial that has this? Rob 1 Posted December 3, 2001 funny enough i am looking for the same answer as ur first. but i know the second answer to ur q..... the description.ext file goes in the same folder as ur mission...... speech and lip files go into ur mission folder but u have to make a seperate "sounds" folder. once u have made this just add all the lip and sounds in that. if u have music simply make a music folder and put the music in that. not hard
vitoal125 0 Posted December 3, 2001 Rob, I found the answer to my first question. Since you also wanted to know this, I thought I'd repost it here. If the player is in the group just use formleader player I just found it in the command reference, only problem is that it uses whoever is leading the formation so if your group is split into team red and team white, and you are in team white, whoever is leading team white will say it. PlaneShifter 0 Posted December 4, 2001 Name the group (don't remember exactly how to do that right now, sorry!) and have "leader group <groupname>" as the person who does the sidechat command. That *should* work. - PlaneShifter -
