DragoFire 0 Posted November 27, 2002 I've got the following problems; 1; rubber animates to the oppsite position of turn. 2; left elevator animates to the oppsite on angle of planes attack, yet right elevator is correct. 3; flaps and ailerons don't animate at all. I'm hoping someone has struck this problem before and can advise me of the fix. DragoFire
suma 8 Posted November 27, 2002 This means your axis for given flap/aileron/elevator/whatever is reversed. One point of the axis is always first - but it is hard to see this in O2. To fix your problem reverse (swap) your axis points.

brsseb 0 Posted November 28, 2002 Im having the exact same problems, all my control surfaces are all wrong. Alierions tilting the wrong way and the stabilizers are working as alerions (well, sort of). So let me get this stait... As far as I know: An axis is a selection created by two vertices. But now also the direction or order of the vertices matter? Whats the difference between the two vertices then? Im confused brsseb

What you have to do is select the two points of the axis which is incorrect and rotate them around to where the other is. This fixed my problem, but I think is might be a bug with 1.90 patch, but not sure. The two points of the axis is an odd thing they're exactly the same name, just differrent locations, so as I see it, it shouldn't effect the animation, but it seems to  . So all I can say is find the axis's that are incorrect and just rotate them. DragoFire
brsseb 0 Posted November 28, 2002 Grrrr. Yes, the problem is fixed, just swapped vertex places on the fautly axis`. But still it irritates me! "Vertices must be in the right order"? A vertex is a vertex, only the position is unique! brsseb

A vertex is a vertex, only the position is unique!<span id='postcolor'> Not only position is unique, also vertex index. You can see vertex indices when checking Vertex or Face properties. I understand it is confusing and far from easy to use.
