Tales_From_Topographic_Oceans 0 Posted November 27, 2002 hey folks, I have RES V 1.9 patch installed. I have editorupdate102.pbo in my OPF/ADDON folder. This is Kegetys' Editor Addon 1.11 I don't think it works in 1.9. I can't access objects. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? I am not sure if it's me or the patch. Tales_From_Topographic_Oceans 0 Posted November 27, 2002 this topic can be closed. Here's what happend. I have the new gunslinger's editor addon installed for RES. It did not work at first, and I had no access to objects. However, after I inserted a few units, THEN it became active, and I had full access to objects. Bottom line is that if you open mission editor and try to insert an object first, it may not work. You must FIRST insert a unit then you will get acess
Ofc 0 Posted December 8, 2002 How about when that is placed in the OFP/ADDONS folder on a linux server.. the maps still say missing editor addon editorupdate102. It's there though
Mister Frag 0 Posted December 9, 2002 The addon needs to be on all of the client computers, not on the server.
Ofc 0 Posted December 9, 2002 I understand all users need it on there machines. However, this message is actually given by the server. You select the mission IE: Desert Island Civil War, then you select a player position, click continue and instead of going to breifing, it takes you back to mission selection with Mission editorupdate102 needed etc.... That happens from the server, not my end

This happens if the mission is made with gunslingers editor addon (not mine) and then tried to play with my version. Open the mission in the mission editor, preview it and save it again and it should work, if it wont open, remove the addon references from the mission.sqm with notepad or something. Also make sure that you dont have the old gunslingers version installed before doing this.
bwenke75 0 Posted December 9, 2002 Same happened to me... Had to put the upgrade in the Res addon folder. Not the OFP addon folder. Worked fine after that....
