Profile got reset, how to recover it ?

Hi fellas !

 

my profile seems to have been reset ... lost my progression, my saved loads in aesenal, and the worst, as a regular player of KOTH (king of the hill), my level been reset to level 1, lost all my money (+500K), weapons, scopes, launcher that i've bought progressively by hundreds of hours played.

 

How to recover it ?? Please help...

when it happened to me, when i launched the game, it delivered a message to me as it was the very 1st time i was playing ... after +1K hours of game / awkward.

 

it's still the same for me ... 

 

@TheSerbianDuck, have you done Something in particular to fix it ??

 

it's like ID number been changed for a new one ... 

 

Does Bohemia awaits its guests to fix issues between them, or it has a real support service to do that ??

 

where can i complain elsewhere than on this forum ??

the profile data is saved in C:\Users\$YOURNAME\Documents\Arma 3\ (vars.arma3profile) just make a backup of this folder, problem solved.

Maybe you changed a setting in the launcher and made the game start with a different profile name?

 

Check your profile folder to see if there is more than one.

Yesterday, after a crash (BSOD), all my settings, especially the keybindings were wiped. 

 

Since then, I keep backups of my profile files in Documents/Arma 3...

 

I also keep backups of the saved games, as the game sometimes deletes them for some reason.

(KING OF THE HILL) PROFILE RESTORE GUIDELINES

 

How To Steps:

Step 1: 
Launch Arma 3 

Step 2: 
Select Multiplayer and then Server Browser 

Step 3: 
Select Direct Connect 

Step 4: 
Enter the IP: 188.165.240.170 and PORT: 2702 

Step 5: 
Select and join the server that will then display 

Step 6: 
Enter the password for the server: 4567 

Step 7: 
Join Opfor 

Step 8: 
Please wait whilst an admin gets to you, they'll be others ahead of you probably 

Step 9: 
Once an admin has confrimed that your stats have been restored, use your mouse wheel and open "Player Menu" 

Step 10: 
Select "Save Now" 

Step 11: 
Exit the server

Because BI cannot restore your Profile for you. Also KOTH can't.

All they do is restore your player stats on KOTH. That means, all the settings are still gone when you have done what you've posted above, but you at least have your stats back!

 

Edit: Just do what @Baraz said. Save your .Arma3Profile every other week and you are on the safe side! (Which reminds me, I kinda forgot that for several months. Should really do it NOW!)

Well I get my profile reset every day sooooo.
