[WIP] PvPscene Tweaks

Ported a bunch more of my old tweaks.

 

Looking for some people to test them before the full release.

Especially the server side ones:

Disables the flashing effect for buttons and list that have focus.

Disables any form of friendly fire. No damage is applied to friendly units or vehicles.

The main intention is to provide server admins a tool to avoid FF abuse or
to make the game more accessible to beginners (accidental friendly fire due to
friend-foe recognition problems when learning the game).

Server side addon. Can be used in SP too.

However should NOT be mixed (server + client use)!
And do NOT run as client in MP.

Warning: DM still works with human players. However not with AI!

Removes the blood texture in 1st person view when hit as infantry.
Way too arcady..

misleading to hear and identify the source of the bullet/ammo.
Overall the sound is quite unpleasent as well.

It makes plane controls more responsive and generally easier to handle!
It's not meant to be realistic, instead it aims to make flying easier and more fun.

In all its simplicity all it does is to remove some of the inertia by smoothly
transferring the plane's movement vector closer to where the nose is pointing.

Effects:
--------
* Rudder has much more authority
* Precision movement such as aiming is easier
* The plane is generally more maneuverable
* The plane is less prone to stalling
* Stalls are easier to recover
* UAVs are much easier to fly manually

This script makes especially the A-10 nicer to fly as their infamous stalling
problems are dampened and generally less inertia makes everything more simple.
New aerobatic tricks are made possible because the rudder is more powerful than
before.

"HardLandingChoppers_by_Celery_Gameplay_C_PvPscene"

It allows you to do some very rough landings without wrecking your helicopter
in the process. It doesn't make them 100% safe however, as you will get damage,
if you drop from the sky tail first or insist throttling down all the way to
the ground.

The best landing technique is to drop down horizontally leveled as fast as you
want (keep airspeed below 80 km/h) and make sure that the front comes before
the tail. When you are about to touch ground, stop throttling down. If you've
done it correctly and the script is working, your helicopter has landed safely
without a scratch.

Hides FriendlyTags and EnemyTags.

Disables the ability to identify a friendly or enemy unit easily as you no
longer see the unit type, side and distance highlighted when locking a vehicle
or targeting it with the command cursor.

Note that this is done for Veteran and Expert difficulty anyway.
So the addon only has an effect for Recruit and Regular.

Makes the third person camera positioned bit higher and more far away.
The default is too close for most models and therefore the camera does have
issues when looking around.

Yo man.  Looking to just remove the "Re-arm" option from the scrollwheel menu without removing anything else.  I was going to experiment with it and adjust the code to try to work out the right way to do it, but I'm honestly struggling to even install it.  I've got the pbo files, but I'm not sure how to add them as a mod.  I'm not very familiar with Arma's functionality in that respect.

 

When I looked at the cpp for the tweak in question, the re-arm class doesn't have a hideActions (array?).  I thought I would be able to just remove the hideActions for the relevant classes, but given that it is listed as removing the Re-arm option, I was surprised to find that the class was empty.  My object-oriented programming knowledge is pretty rough.  Sorry for any incorrect terminology.

 

The reason I'm only looking for the removal of the re-arm selection is because a friend of mine keeps getting really frustrated by having his inventory messed up when he misclicks.  There seems to be an impressive number of tweaks in this pack.  Thanks for providing them for people!

reload magazine, or rearm at an ammo crate?

 

hideActions[] = {"XXX"}; means if XXX is assigned in key controls, it wont appear in the action menu/3rd action

so you have that or just hide via show=0;

Hey kju, love these, had them in my Arma2CO COWarMod back in the day 😉

Wondering if there was a way to turn off the moaning wounded sound your character makes when wounded even after you applied a fak,

i find it rather annoying after a while, you know how to do that?

you probably have to script that

otherwise it would disable the moaning sounds altogether
