Rob 1 Posted December 10, 2001 rrr man i have forgotten....brass was the one that found out how to do it. message "brass" and ask him.
Chucky 0 Posted December 10, 2001 you should easily do it, but not at the start of mission, you simply setup the flagcarier as in CTF mission, and then you set waypoint for some soldier to get the flag, and then move him into vehicle. that's all
Rob 1 Posted December 10, 2001 if u read the thread properly he didn't wanna do it in the ctf mission. in sp. i can't remember wot the command was but u had to apply the flag to the flag pole and command it to be carried by the person. from there the only way for the flag to be on a vehicle is if the person that the flag was with to get in a vehicle. if brass doesn't read this then i will try to find out tonight. Brass 0 Posted December 10, 2001 yeah, but he probably wants the exact way to do it, and not some vague suggestion. either search for my post in this part of the forum or icq me, i hope you do the former, as i hate icq and i aint often on it
Rob 1 Posted December 10, 2001 it would be easier for people if u gave them the answer cuz i know that it doesn't take long to explain as u have done to me before, and ur thread aint here any more.
MP 0 Posted December 10, 2001 For a flag to be on a vehicle you have to have a Living AI unit in the car (i.e a soldier). Put a soldier then name him man1 (or whatever), then a flag on a flagpole. Give the flag a name e.g flag1 In the init field of the flag type, flag1 setflagowner man1. Then just put him straight into a car or something (man1 moveincargo car1). It's that easy... (Edited by MP at 7:29 pm on Dec. 10, 2001)
Brass 0 Posted December 10, 2001 you missed out the init command for the flag type. Put a soldier then name him PLAYER place a flagpole, call it POLE. put this in the pole's init field: this setflagtexture "usa_vlajka.pac" or whatever (you should know the flags) then put in flag init after the set flagtexture; POLE setflagowner PLAYER i think this is it, iu havent used it in ages, and i formatted my drive losing my post in text format, the above is what MP put, but better. it may be wrong, the setflagowner im a bit unsure on where u place it. play around
Rob 1 Posted December 10, 2001 no it isn't... flag pole....(init: this setflagtexture "USA_vlajka.pac" this setflagowner player)
