Operation flashpoint/desktop graphics problem

When I exit Flashpoint it resets my desktop gamma to default so I have to go into nView/Colour correction and reset the display setting to the one I have saved.

Anyone have an idea why this is?

What hardware are you running? There is a thread here about cards being too dark, cant remember the link but a quick search might help.

I had a similar problem once but somehow managed to change the default settings. If I remember how I did it I'll post.

Which version of the Detonator drivers do you have? I'm running V40.72 under Windows XP Professional, and I don't have that problem.

I did notice that the gamma setting at the desktop is messed up when I Alt-Tab out of the game, but the setting is restored properly when I exit the game.

I'm using Nvidia 30.82 which are working well with my games and I'd rather not change them.

Are you running the game in 32bit color but your desktop in 16bit color by chance?

Try to match your desktop settings if you can to avoid problems.

I run my desktop at 1024x768 32k and I run most games at same

I experience the same problem with an ATI 7500.

When alt tabing back and forth from windows to OFP the gama needs to be reset. It sucks especially when yer playing night missions and trying to get players together.
